# ANATOMY OF THE CITY, X-CHANGE GALLERY, OXFORD, UK, 2003

In 2002 I started to collect pieces of clothing I found in the Oxford streets. Before transforming these items into moulds, they are classified and described in an inventory and the location of the find is indicated on a city map. In the ensuing process, the moulds are destroyed to reveal objects representing parts of the body. Anatomy of the City is a collection of anthropomorphic fossils, archeological remains of the city. The objects are made by pouring white earthenware in items of clothing. Some pieces, like gloves, are sewed. The clothing is removed when the clay become hard. The objects are fired at 1100°C in an electric kiln.
